Counselling for Adults
What is counselling?
At the most basic level counselling is talking about your problems with another human being, usually a stranger, and hopefully someone who has undergone extensive training and been in personal therapy themselves. It’s not advice, and it’s definitely not a magic wand that makes you happy all of the time. What it can do is enable you to explore the difficult issues and problems in your life.
My belief and experience is that counselling can offer you the opportunity for healing and growth. When we sit together and explore your world, your sense of self, who you are and who you want to become then we create an environment together that can help you to recover from past difficulties and begin to lead a fuller and more productive life.
